Dear Friends,

Xylem Family Resource celebrated its first anniversary as a nonprofit organization this summer! And what an exciting year it was! Thanks to individuals like you, Xylem directly nurtured and strengthened over 75 families through childbirth education, pregnancy support, doula services, parenting classes, in-home family coaching, playgroups and classes such as Baby & Me, Toddler & Me and baby sign language. We worked with a wide-range of individuals this year: Christian and non-Christian, single and married, young and old. We’ve been able to provide scholarships to parents with financial limitations. Additionally, we supported other organizations in their efforts to serve families within our community.

Xylem encouraged and educated expecting couples throughout their pregnancy. As a result, new parents felt empowered to make educated decisions and more prepared for the birth of their child. We saw dads filled with joy and brimmed with tears as they confidently supported their wife in labor and witnessed the birth of their child. Xylem was honored to share in the joy of parents thrilled with a beautiful birth.

Xylem educated and supported families. New parents were shown how to play and interact with their little ones in developmentally appropriate ways. Parents of older children were coached on how to be more successful in their parenting style, providing appropriate discipline and love. This past year we saw single dads excited with their confidence in taking care of their newborn. And we experienced parents ecstatic with the change in their family dynamics as members learned to respectfully interact with one another under the confident leadership of both parents.

All of this was possible this past year because of individuals like you. We are so grateful for those who partnered with us by promoting Xylem’s mission and who gave generous donations that allowed us to start up and provide some of our first scholarships. As a nonprofit, Xylem Family Resource relies on and is primarily supported through individual financial contributions.

We are excited to see where God will take Xylem in our second year. We have a vision to minister to more families by continuing to build our organizational foundation, strengthen and expand partnerships with churches and organizations, enhance current services, develop additional resources, and provide more scholarship opportunities. We would like you to continue to share in our ministry and partner with us. Please consider making a financial commitment to Xylem this year and into the next. Giving to Xylem is easy either contact us about mailing a gift or donate online by clicking on the donate box below. We would also appreciate you remembering Xylem as one of the organizations you support with your end of the year giving.

Donate Now Through Network for Good Xylem Family Resource is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization.

Again, thank you for your support over the past year and being our advocate to your community. Continue to let expecting moms and dads and those who are already parents know about the many resources Xylem offers. In addition to our classes and services, we provide references for a wide variety of family needs including doctors, midwives, therapists, health and fitness experts, and childcare.

Please contact us to find out more about what Xylem Family Resource is doing to nurture and strengthen families. We would love to talk with you!

Many Blessings!

“Angela was instrumental throughout the birthing process for my husband and I. She helped prepare us for the delivery and gave us many helpful exercises and positive thoughts to encourage us as we went into labor. She helped my husband to feel that he would be an important part of the birth, even though I was going to be delivering the baby. During labor, Angela was unbelievable. She had so many suggestions that helped get me through the contractions. She encouraged me when I felt weak and tired. She reminded me that one of my primary goals was to have a natural birth and that we could get through it. She offered smiles and support at just the right moments. Angela was a blessing and truly amazing in helping us have a healthy, wonderful baby boy. Thanks, Angela!!”

“Thank you for the [new parenting] information, I really appreciated it.  I wanted to drop you a line to tell you a short story of how your class has already helped me.  Tuesday night I got to see [my son}, and he was awake for the first time!  He has the biggest blue eyes!  I was holding him and we were doing OK, but then what happened.... he started crying.  OK, no big deal.  My ex-girlfriend was sitting there with a smug look on her face and was getting ready to come and take him away... but I went through “the 5 S”' and with a combination of swinging and shooshing, he quieted right down.  No problem!  It was pretty cool and it worked every time he started crying.  So anyways, I just wanted to drop you a huge line of THANKS!!!”
